Ministros conhecem detalhes da cerimônia de abertura da Olimpíada
Um encontro no Palácio Duque de Caxias, sede do Comando Militar do Leste, reuniu os Ministros da Defesa, da Justiça, do Gabinete de Segurança Institucional e do Esporte, além do Chefe do Estado-Maior Conjunto das Forças Armadas, do Comandante Militar do Leste e Coordenador Geral de Defesa de Área e do Coordenador de Segurança de Área, para apresentar os detalhes operacionais da abertura dos Jogos Olímpicos Rio 2016.
No dia 5 de agosto, dia da cerimônia, o Presidente da República em exercício, Michel Temer, além de Chefes de Estado e de Governo, autoridades brasileiras e convidados estarão reunidos no Palácio do Itamaraty, no Centro do Rio de Janeiro, de onde serão transportados para o Estádio do Maracanã, a fim de assistirem ao espetáculo. Para garantir a segurança dos dignitários ao longo do trajeto, assim como durante o show de abertura para todo o público envolvido, o Ministro-Chefe do Gabinete de Segurança Institucional, General de Exército Sergio Westphalen Etchegoyen, ressaltou a importância do trabalho de integração interagências.
Durante a reunião, foram apresentados os planejamentos do Ministério das Relações Exteriores, do Coordenador Geral de Defesa de Área (CGDA), do Comando Conjunto de Prevenção e Combate ao Terrorismo (CCPCT), da Secretaria Extraordinária de Segurança para Grandes Eventos (SESGE), da Central de Segurança VIP, da Polícia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (PMERJ), entre outras agências.

Ministers get familiarized with the details of the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
A meeting in Duque de Caxias Palace, the headquarters of the Eastern Military Command, convened the Ministers of the Defense and Justice Departments and of the Presidential Institutional Security Cabinet. It also demanded the presence of the Sports Minister, the Chairman of the Armed Forces’ Joint Chief of Staff, the Commander of the Eastern Military Command and Area Defense General Coordinator and the Area Security Coordinator in order to present the operational details for the Opening of the Olympic Games Rio 2016.
On August 5th, the day of the Opening Ceremony, the Interim President Michel Temer together with the Heads of State and Government, Brazilian authorities and guests will be gathered at Itamaraty Palace, Downtown, from where they will departure to Maracanã Stadium in order to watch the show. In order to assure the VIP safe transport and the security for all present at the Opening Ceremony, the Chief Minister of the Institutional Security Cabinet, General Sergio Etchegoyen highlighted the importance of interagency integration.
During the meeting, several organizations have presented their plannings: the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Area Defense General Coordinator (CGDA), the Joint Command for Terrorism Prevention and Combat (CCPCT), the Secretariat for the Security of Large Events (SESGE), VIP Security Central, State Military Police of Rio (PMERJ) among other agencies.
